2010 Season - Week 4
BUMS Players Hall of Fame
Thanks to AP and Ron who have already got their votes in for the 2010 Hall of Fame Player ballot. Since 2002 we’ve inducted 35 players. And now it’s time to put 4 more players into the Marbled Halls based on 3 criteria; scoring, impact and enjoyment provided. Attached (again) are the 12 men who have been chosen for nomination. Select your favourite 5 players (in order) and get them back to me by Sunday October 17th, which is Trading Day 1. The 4 highest scorers will join the selected band of BUMS Hall of Fame players that includes Bill Cowher, Gary Anderson, Daunte Culpepper, Priest Holmes and Terrell Owens.
Closest September Ever?
I can’t be bothered to go back through the previous 15 seasons but this must surely be the closest first month of the season ever. Just this week Aaron and Dave G tied for fourth, Cheryl, Chief and Daz tied for sixth and Andy H, Marcus and Wayne tied for ninth. In the Conference Westmorland Wolverines lead Gang Green by just 2 points but it’s the Premiership where there is a traffic jam. At one point midway through the first games, ten of the eleven teams in the Premiership were covered by just one touchdown with just Craig adrift! As everyone jockeys for Trading Day 1 position just 2 points cover Brockley Mud Bugs, California Dreams, Perivale Pirates and Langley Raptors for the seventh to tenth picks in the Trade order.
NFL Trades
Two big trades happened this week which could effect your plans for Trading Day 1. Firstly Buffalo dealt former Gang Green franchise running back Marshawn Lynch to Seattle for a fourth round pick. Then after catching no passes in the Patriots Monday Night win in Miami, New England traded BUMS Hall of Fame Wide Receiver Randy Moss back to his original team, Minnesota, for a third round pick.
Trading Day 1
Talking of trades, Trading Day 1 is prior to week 6’s games at HQ from 4pm on Sunday 17th October. Let me know if you are coming or intending to remote trade.
BUMS on Seats.
On Sunday we will be at Johnnies for the Sky doubleheader. The late Sunday Night Game (Phili @ San Fran) will be seen on Monday evening at Andy H’s in Perivale from 6:30pm and we’ll be at HQ on Tuesday from 6:30pm to see Monday Night Football as Randy Moss’ new team Minnesota travel to the New York Jets. All are welcome, but let us know if you are coming as we are cooking.
